Individual Social Support is about creating connections between isolated older people and the community. The community volunteers in this role are matched with an older person experiencing isolation for the purposes of social interaction, accompanied errands such as shopping, and increased community connection. We are looking for a Female English speaking Volunteer who can share their time to visit an Elderly Lady living in Lysterfield to provide companionship and Friendship during weekly or Fortnightly Visits.
Breastfeeding Educators are trained volunteers who offer breastfeeding information and mother-to-mother support to women whose babies are breastfeeding and to their families. Their area of expertise is breastfeeding support. The counsellors have to have breastfed at least one baby for a minimum of 6 months and hold a current 10998NAT Certificate IV in Breastfeeding Education (Counselling) (or equivalent) and have to complete ongoing training to up d ate their knowledge and skills.
