GovHack is brought to each state/region through the hard work of a Regional Operations Team (ROT), who are responsible for coordinating all GovHack activities in that region. This volunteer role helps The Patch provide fresh, organic produce to the community through the Salvation Army community lunch, thrift shop and through monthly produce swaps. Within this role, volunteers assist in the general maintenance and upkeep of The Patch. Duties will include planting, harvesting fruit and vegetables, weeding, maintaining equipment and the building of new beds and infrastructure. The Patch welcomes all abilities and backgrounds to assist with Volunteering.
