Through the sale of clothing, accessories, bric-a-brac, and other assorted items in pour shops, Vinnies is able to deliver much needed services to people facing hardships like homelessness and poverty.

Your volunteering experience will be varied (because you like a challenge) with a range of different tasks.

• Provide excellent customer service in retail environment
• Assist with store upkeep, cash register, donations, and merchandising
• Support staff with disability, gain work experience, special discounts

• Maintain accurate accounts using electronic financial tools
• Reconcile monthly books and manage petty cash effectively
• Provide financial reports, insights, and recommendations for decision-making

• Provide friendly service, operate POS machine and EFTPOS
• Sort, price, ticket, merchandise donated items, uphold Vinnies Values
• Prioritize Workplace Safety & Health, maintain clean environment

• Warm, friendly, and honest personality with basic food prep skills
• Supported by staff team and Safe Food Handling training provided
• Monday to Friday schedule, 10am - 2pm, except Thursdays

• Assess individuals in crisis situations and provide emergency relief
• Utilize communication skills to connect with those in need
