Guide and Assistance Dogs change lives. It is the independence and freedom offered by these dogs to our clients that keeps us going. Our Puppy Raisers look after an 8 to 10 week old puppy, in their home, for a period of 12 to18 months.

If you answer yes, then you could be a part of supporting those with vision loss or disability through being a part of the journey of a lifechanging Guide or Assistance Dog. Our Bed and Breakfast Boarders provide a foster home and care for our young dogs in their formal training stage during evenings and weekends.

We need drivers to collect prepacked boxes of fruit and veg. You don't need to do every week, you will be a part of a team and can do weekly/fortnightly or monthly. At CARAD, we provide our clients with fresh fruit and vegetables on a weekly basis. Our clients are Asylum Seekers, who do not receive Centrelink, Medicare or any support from elsewhere. Through the Second Bite program, our Pantry provides food security for the most vulnerable people in our community.

Our Home Whelpers are responsible for providing a safe, secure and welcoming home to one of our Breeding Dogs (Broods) during the whelping (birthing) process and for approximately 8 weeks after. During this time, they are responsible for the health & welfare of the brood and her litter, and play a key role in the early development & socialization of the puppies.

Breeding Stock Carers are responsible for providing a safe, secure and welcoming home to one of our Breeding Dogs (Broods), and provide the support to the brood when she is giving birth and care for her newborn puppies for the first 8 weeks.

Our Social Centre volunteers work alongside our staff in social centres to provide a supportive place for older Australians to connect with others and engage in activities that look after their health and wellbeing. You will help to organise meaningful activities for our clients, such as music, arts, and craft sessions; gardening, and social outings in the community. We are currently seeking male volunteers to join our Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme to provide companionship to older people who are socially isolated and experiencing loneliness. As an Advocare Community Visitor Volunteer we are asking you to devote one hour per week (minimum) to supporting an older person in your community through conversation.
