We are looking for friendly people who are interested in making a difference in the lives of our community’s seniors by regularly visiting and being a social friend to individuals living in their own homes in Bray Park. In this particular role, a lovely lady from Mauritius would enjoy a female volunteer visitor for friendly chats.

Our Day Respite Service at Kirra requires a volunteer to help with our clients bus outing. The groups go to various locations eg Hinze Dam, op shops, clubs, cafes. This role is fortnightly on a Thursday from 8.30am to 3pm (C)
Far North Queensland Volunteers Inc is looking for other language volunteers for our Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Program. Volunteers will visit with seniors offering companionship and connection for an hour a week or fortnight. In particular we are looking for Russian and French speaking volunteers.
The ACVVS Program (Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme) is seeking volunteers to visit with the elderly, offering companionship and connection to those who are feeling isolated and lonely. You will be matched with an older person either in their home or in Residential Aged Care taking into consideration cultural background, shared interest and mutual hobbies. This is a chance to brighten up someone's week. PARTICULARLY IN THE SOUTHERN CORRIDOR -EDMONTON AND GORDONVALE.

Computers 4 Learning (C4L) is a volunteer run not-for-profit charity organisation that refurbishes donated computers and makes them available for a nominal fee to the less fortunate in our community. We welcome people with relevant IT skills who can help us to refurbish devices so they are functioning optimally for sale.

Canteen relies on the assistance and support of our volunteers to help us deliver our programs for young people. We can’t run our programs without our generous volunteers. PACT volunteers support children and teens, as well as adult victims and witnesses who need support through the court process. The role of our volunteers is to provide impartial, empathetic support for those who are required to give evidence in criminal courts, either as victims of, or witnesses to, a crime.

You and your dog can help children find the magic in becoming lifelong readers. The Coordinator will commence as a dog reading team volunteer and after two school terms receive training to take on the Coordinator position. The Coordinator will recruit, train, support, manage and give recognition to volunteers within the region. The position will also raise awareness of the Story Dogs brand and services. This is a non paid, volunteer role. This role requires you to have a suitable dog.
