Our Salvos community centre kitchen feeds those in need and runs off the Coles Secondbite fruit and veggie donations that we pick up three times a week. We are looking for a driver to help with these pickups on MONDAYS and WEDNESDAYS from Coles stores in the city.
This exciting opportunity involves working within a team to assist customers, sorting and pricing donations, merchandising and keeping the Op Shop in a tidy and presentable state. You'll be helping raise vital funds for our programs which support young people as well as directing tonnes of items from landfill. If you are passionate about fashion, helping people and the environment we would love to have you!
Can you spare 1-2 hours per fortnight? Use your second language to connect to an older member of your community and make their day!
Working as part of a team of volunteers, you will provide customer service and sales assistance at the Noffs Opportunity Shop. Day-to-day tasks can include; advising customers of pricing, entering all takings in to the cash register, clothes and goods sorting, and ensuring the facility is clean and tidy.
