You will be taking calls from people all over Perth and recording the details of their needs in our database. This role is extremely rewarding as your contribution ensures that struggling families will have access to food and basic necessities in order to make ends meet.

The volunteers will carry out a range of activities designed to support patients and their visitors during their stay at the hospital. A volunteer has the opportunity to have a more ongoing interaction with a particular ward or clinical service

    Australian Breastfeeding Association Applecross Branch (Supported by Volunteer Melville!)

    Breastfeeding counsellors are trained volunteers who offer breastfeeding information and mother-to-mother support to women whose babies are breastfeeding and to their families. Their area of expertise is breastfeeding support. The counsellors have to have breastfed at least one baby for a minimum of 6 months and hold a current Certificate IV in Breastfeeding Education (Counselling) (or equivalent) and have to complete ongoing training to up d ate their knowledge and skills.
