Do you have an hour or two to spare during the week, or on a weekend? Is there nothing you like better than to meet new people and have a really good chat? This role could be just the one for you! We have many interesting residents at EACF who also love meeting new people and talking about life’s ups and downs.
Do you speak Spanish and have some spare time? Make a difference to the life of an elderly Spanish resident by chatting in Spanish and helping them to feel less socially isolated and lonely.
A friendly social support person to help our residents feel part of the community.
Gracehaven is an aged care facility situated in the heart of the thriving coastal town of Rockingham, south of Perth. Caring and compassionate people are required to assist with many activities within the aged care facility; these include Bingo, outings, pampering, sports groups and general social conversation.
Chorus volunteers work alongside team members, seniors, those living with disability or on the mental health recovery journey. Many customers are socially isolated and volunteering your time helps people connect in the community. When you volunteer you can meet like-minded people, form new friendships, challenge yourself, learn new skills and make a huge difference.
Are you creative? Do you have a passion for arts and crafts? Share your love for arts and crafts with residents of a local aged care facility. Use your creativity and artistic skills to assist people to create their own pieces. Resources will be provided, all you need to bring are your ideas and enthusiasm.
Many of our residents have been avid gardeners in their time and would love nothing better than to potter around in our lovely gardens with some companionship. We are seeking friendly and caring volunteers who enjoy socialising with others and who would be happy to support our residents.
Do you play the piano? Would you like to being joy to the residents of Frank Prendergast House?
Do you enjoy having a chat and sharing a cuppa? You might like to visit and befriend a person living in an aged care home. If it suits you both, you could take the resident out or for a walk in the grounds. Spend time sharing interests, listening & talking.
