Our Big Kitchen needs a volunteer front-of-house person to welcome both corporate group attendees and individual volunteers. Your presence will help make a difference by increasing customer experience and ensure that we track the correct data for us to improve the way we help the community.

Mercy Works is currently recruiting volunteers to support students from a refugee asylum seeker background focused around Geelong in the Mercy Connect Project. The project aims to provide support and mentoring for children and young people to optimize their literacy development and academic and social learning.
The canteen is open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 9.15am – 1.15pm. We require a regular volunteer on Wednesday 11.15am – 1.15pm and another regular volunteer on Friday 11.15am – 1.15pm. Preferably to volunteer weekly or fortnightly.

Taking your dog into your local school every week for approx. 2 hours to help children read. Story Dogs aims to make reading fun for children, so they become confident lifelong readers. No child should be left behind in literacy.
We are holding a new fundraiser at the school that will include music, dancing, food and entertainment for the community. The event is a more formal event starting with champagne and canapes while being serenaded by a pianist, moving down to the oval, where parties will be shown to their designated tables while a jazz band plays and dinner is served, finishing off with a rock band and some dancing, all while having games, entertainers and auctions happening throughout.
Seeking volunteers who have an interest in gardening to help young people in primary school with a gardening project. Do you have 1-2 hours a week spare during school hours? This is not suitable for full time job seekers, commitment required until the end of this school year.
Maroondah Winter Shelter provides a safe and warm place for homeless males to stay overnight during the winter months, 7 nights per week. Home cooked meals are provided. As a volunteer you would be making a difference to the lives of those who have been sleeping rough. Being able to listen, show care and treat our guests with dignity and compassion is what we ask for.
Can you help to heat up meals, serve meals or do dishes? Chat with guests and share a meal with them. Our guests are isolated or financially disadvantaged people who need some extra support with meals and being with community.
Mt Pleasant Primary School canteen is hoping to find canteen volunteers during school term. Duties are fairly straightforward and will involve preparing food for recess & lunch, collating orders, washing dishes and serving at recess & lunch. No previous experience is needed.
