Side walking - No experience necessary. Walking beside horse, supporting clients with disabilities as they ride, making sure they stay safely seated on the horse in accordance with RDAA policies. Leading horses - Volunteers with horse management experience to groom and generally prepare horses for our riding sessions with disabled clients, then to safely lead horses in accordance with RDAA safety policies.
We require volunteers for four hours from 4.00pm to 8.00pm weekdays to supervise women in recovery from substance abuse and domestic violence during the evening shift. Tasks include supervising meals, medication and phone calls, taking craft and journaling sessions, and attending evening meetings. Some light admin duties may be required as well such as drafting the weekly schedule.

We’ve partnered with Blanket Albany & Harvey Norman who are running a blanket drive, asking everyone to donate any new or unused blankets to assist our efforts for the homeless and those in need. On Saturday 15th June, we will be attending a live broadcast from Triple M between 8am-10am from York Street - We need BBQ volunteers to help raise funds to go towards those who are homeless and less fortunate here in Albany - directly assisting ARVS food relief program Breakfast in The Park.
Meals on Wheels assist many people in the community to live independently in their own homes by providing a high quality meal delivery service. Our Burnside Branch is seeking a volunteer or volunteers to provide administration support Monday to Friday. Shifts are 7.30am until 10.30am and/or 10.30am - 1.00pm. This is a great opportunity to meet other people who support our core values.
