Maroondah Winter Shelter provides a safe and warm place for homeless males to stay overnight during the winter months, 7 nights per week. Home cooked meals are provided. MDFA's Peer Support Groups provide a safe and welcoming space for people living with aged-related macular degeneration to share their stories and ask questions of their peers. The Co-Facilitator role is well suited to someone with good communications skills and confidence in public speaking. Ideally you will have experience facilitating a support group and/or demonstrate the ability to guide a balanced discussion. Personal experience with macular disease is desirable, not necessary.
