Maroondah Winter Shelter provides a safe and warm place for homeless males to stay overnight during the winter months, 7 nights per week. Home cooked meals are provided. As a volunteer you would be making a difference to the lives of those who have been sleeping rough. We are looking for a volunteer, preferably a male 50+, to spend some quality time with an elderly Australian man who lives in an Aged Care Facility in Ringwood East. Your visit may be spent reminiscing, having a talk and a laugh while having a cuppa or enjoying a leisurely activity like going for a short walk. He Loves dogs and you can bring yours along for a visit, He loves AFL team North Melbourne FC and Cricket.

He LOVES animals, especially dogs, so if you have a friendly, gentle, canine furry friend who could visit with you that would be PERFECT! Generous reimbursement for the travel is available, and a car with comprehensive car insurance is required.
