To provide one-to-one face-to-face mentoring and friendship to a young person aged between 7 and 17 years. Mentors commit to spending quality time with a young person; a minimum of one hour 3 to 4 times per month for a minimum of 12 months. The volunteer role supports a young person with connection, respect and friendship.

At Raise we know that a mentor can change the course of a young person’s life, helping teenagers to build resilience and feel more hopeful for the future. We recruit and train volunteers from the community to become youth mentors, before matching them with a teenager at a local public high school.

AMEP Volunteer Tutor Scheme need your support to provide one on one tuition to newly arrived migrants and refugees. Give an hour every week and help Australia develop stronger communities.

Community Friend Program pairs and supports friendships between volunteers and participants (people with a mild to moderate disability and/or mental health condition between 18-64 years of age). Through friendship, the Community Friend Program aims to address social isolation and increase community participation - something many take for granted. Volunteers catch with participants in the community on a fortnightly basis and engage in activities of interests (cuppa, movie, walk etc.)
