QSHBA is a volunteer-run not-for-profit group that is very active in the community. We have 4 permanent bands that perform regularly: the Queensland Mounted Infantry Historical Troop Band, the Queensland Show Band, the Bayside Youth Band and QSHBA Drum Corps. With current volunteers focused on teaching and performance roles, we need 1 or more volunteers to help keep us going behind the scenes, assisting with clerical duties, band room maintenance, as well as library and asset management.
Bayside Carols, presented by Queensland Services Heritage Band Association, is a favourite annual Christmas tradition for families in the Wynnum-Manly area. We will have the music covered, but need an Event Coordinator to organise this year's event held at George Clayton 'Lighthouse' Park, on 22 December.
