Council on the Ageing (COTA ACT)
We're looking for people to provide regular friendship and companionship to older people who may be feeling isolated or lonely. Make a real difference in the lives of older people to help them feel more connected through one-on-one in person visits.

The Life in Community program, known as LinC, is all about improving community connections and reducing social isolation. LinC volunteers meet with participants in person to undertake accessible activities that are in line with the participant’s goals around increasing their social connections over a six month period.

Raise Foundation
Do you want to make a difference in a young person's life? 1 in 10 young people are disengaged with school and 1 in 4 are unhappy with their lives. At Raise we know that a mentor can change the course of a young person’s life, helping teenagers to build resilience and feel more hopeful for the future. We recruit and train volunteers from the community to become youth mentors, before matching them with a teenager at a local public high school.

Tour de Cure
Tour de Cure is holding its our first QURE Ball Canberra at the Grand Hyatt - The Hyatt Hotel, 120 Commonwealth Avenue, Yarralumla ACT, on Saturday 15th February 2025. Over the last 10 year's Tour de Cure’s Gala Events have raised over $20m to fund the boldest research, the most talented scientists and their ground-breaking projects that we believe will have the biggest impact on cancer. We can only do this with the help from our volunteers.

Story Dogs Vic
You will commence as a dog reading team volunteer and after two school terms receive training to take on the Coordinator position. The Coordinator will support and give recognition to a team of 6 -10 volunteers within part of the ACT. You will also work with other ACT coordinators to raise awareness of the Story Dogs brand and recruit/ train new volunteers. This is a non paid, volunteer role. This role requires you to have a suitable dog.
Grind to Ground
You would be using a computer to respond to emails, visit our site at CIT Bruce, to ensure all is going well. You would phone community and/or government organisations when required to cancel Grind to Ground on site sessions when needed. You'd communicate with committee members, arrange drop off for orders of our product, Grounded. You may be asked to keep a contacts data base up to date. You'd visit our site to liaise with Supervisors to see how they are, report to committee as they arise.
