Sunshine Coastrek is a team trekking challenge on Fri 27th July, along the Sunshine Coast between Caloundra and Noosa. Teams of 4, will trek 30km or 60km, getting fit while raising money to restore sight. Qualified remedial massage therapists are needed to give 10 minute therapeutic massages to Coastrek participants, on request, at the finish line area.

Gympie Health Service are seeking caring volunteers to support and comfort patients. Volunteers are required to support a variety of tasks including such things as welcoming visitors, escorting them to various areas around the facility, delivering newspapers, reading to patients, putting information packs together etc.
This role includes a range of important tasks including attending to hospitality processes at the hospice, greeting guests and family members, offering a companion role to our guests, providing food, maintaining the environment and cleaning/housekeeping tasks. This includes assisting with infection control and other hygiene matters. Katie Rose Cottage is a hospice which provides compassionate care for the terminally ill.
This role provides direct personal care duties for our guests. This includes manual handling, showering, assisting with toileting, and other tasks as directed by the Registered Nurses. This role usually requires relevant qualifications including Certificate 3 or similar. First aid certificates are also required. Previous experience in caring for ill people or palliative care is vital and a kind and compassionate approach is necessary.
To provide Justice of the Peace services for our patients, families and staff. Ability to display empathy, confidentiality and good communication skills are essential for this role. Current JP Registration is required. Hours and days flexible between 8am-4pm Monday to Friday
A friendly volunteer is required to provide assistance to patients being dropped off or picked up from the Transfer Unit. The role is to assist them by giving directions on how to get to their special appointments or destination within the hospital. Provide information on local amenities, taxies, public transport, Hospital Parking. Shifts require a 3 hour minimum, walking standing and sitting.
